When is my child ready for Preschool?

When is my child ready for Preschool? As a mother, teacher and now writer, I thought I’d share some personal advice for new mommies and daddies entering the world of school. It’s a big world out there and at times it may seem a tad overwhelming especially with the helicopter moms or coach dads out there doing everything in their power to make sure their kid is the best at everything. The Caldecott Medal

The Caldecott Medal began in 1937 recognizing the previous year’s most distinguished American picture book for children. Named for Randolph Caldecott, the award is given to the illustrator by the Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC). The ALSC is a division of (American Library Association) ALA. Besides the medal winners, there are also runner up winners as well, Caldecott Honor books. In order to be considered for the Caldecott Medal, the artist must be a US citizen or resident. The illustrations must be original to the book. The book must be published in the United States and in English. The bo...
